WHO ARE GLASS ELEPHANTS?
After some time of studying and freelancing we decided to found our animation and sound design studio. This way we’re taking one step further towards our goal to create visual stories that would inspire people to look at things from a fresh perspective.
The name Glass Elephants came from the project that we’re currently developing in our studio. Since this is the first bigger production for our young studio it had a symbolic sense. Also, this name represents our different approaches towards creative process. Vykintas is working with visual part and Dominyka is working with sound. This creative studio is a merge of two creative parts just like the third elephant emerging in our logo, when two different elements are combined.
Dominyka Adomaitytė
co-founder, director, Foley artist and sound designer
Dominyka Adomaityte is a sound designer, Foley artist and film director from Lithuania. After French literature, theater directing, jazz vocal and music composition studies in 2018 Dominyka got into FAMU film school in Prague, Czech Republic, where she studied sound design. At the same time she started working as Foley artist at Soundsquare studio and ever since she’s working both, as Foley artist and sound designer on animation, documentaries and live action films.
Recently she moved back to Vilnius to establish the first ever sound studio in Lithuania dedicated to Foley creation and recording.
Vykintas Labanauskas
co-founder, director, animator, story artist and writer.
After screenwriting BA studies in Vilnius, Lithuania, Vykintas decided to turn towards animation and ever since he’s been working on personal and commissioned projects. In the meantime he had a chance to join the class of 3d animation at Ecole MoPA, Arles, France.
Currently he’s based in Vilnius, Lithuania and working in 2d hand drawn, 3d, cg cut out and stop motion techniques.
